Compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals & families concerned about changes in memory, thinking, or brain health.
Compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals & families concerned about changes in memory, thinking, or brain health.

At Butterfield Neuropsychology, we provide a wide range of neurological services for adults of all ages (18+). Our comprehensive evaluations include cognitive testing to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. We help identify cognitive changes, assist in diagnosing conditions such as Alzheimer's and dementia, discuss ways to slow further decline, and develop treatment plans for neurocognitive disorders. Our neuropsychological evaluations offer personalized recommendations for brain health, memory assessment, treatment, and accommodations, as well as tracking cognitive changes over time. We are dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based care. Medicare and self-pay options are available, with assistance for out-of-network reimbursement. View our printable brochure by clicking here.
We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders, such as Dementia and Mild Neurocognitive Disorder/Mild Cognitive Impairment. Our comprehensive evaluations include testing of memory and other cognitive abilities to determine whether perceived changes are due to normal age-related decline, Alzheimer's disease, or other factors, such as brain injury, concussion, stroke/vascular cause, movement disorder, or other medical or psychological cause. We provide tailored care for patients and their families, offering education grounded in research evidence on ways to delay cognitive decline, as well as support resources.
Our team specializes in the evaluation and treatment of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease and atypical Parkinsonian syndromes (corticobasal degeneration [CBD], multiple system atrophy [MSA], progressive supranuclear palsy [PSP]). We also see those with essential tremor, Huntington's disease, and similar conditions.
We specialize in the evaluation of language changes that may be associated with a neurological condition. This includes assessing individuals who experience word-finding trouble, dysfluency of speech, or changes in grammar or in semantic knowledge. We are dedicated to helping identify whether there is a primary progressive aphasia (PPA), which subtype is present, and to provide patients and families with a comprehensive understanding of this diagnosis.
We specialize in assessing a wide range of brain injury severities, from mild concussions to more severe traumatic brain injuries, as well as stroke or other vascular etiologies. Our focus extends to educating individuals on ways to rebuild brain pathways and promote brain health, which is vital post-injury.
Many individuals with other complex medical histories, such as those with multiple sclerosis (MS), autoimmune disease, cancer, cardiovascular disease, or status post surgery, notice cognitive changes. We can tailor cognitive testing and neuropsychological evaluations to identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and can discuss the factors most likely contributing to perceived and observed declines.
For individuals concerned about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), we will conduct a thorough evaluation of symptoms across the lifespan while also considering other conditions that may be impacting attention and other aspects of functioning.

At Butterfield Neuropsychology, we believe in a patient-centered approach to care, particularly for those facing challenges such as Alzheimer's, dementia, and Parkinson's. We strive to provide individualized and expert neuropsychological evaluations and treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and concerns, including those recovering from brain injuries or concussions. Our dedicated team focuses on cognitive testing and memory assessments to identify any memory decline early on. We are committed to offering clear education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and effective strategies to delay cognitive decline while promoting overall brain wellness.
